My main goal for my life right now is to be the best wife and mother that I can be. For me that means being "domestic". Cooking, cleaning, caring, creating - it's all in there somewhere.
If I'm going to improve myself - and by extension, my family - I Ned to look at my starting place. Take stock, as it were.
I am Erica. am have just turned 33 and I have been married to my best friend Joe for 14 years. Do the math and you'll see that we were married at the ripe old age of 18. Add in the two years we dated before that and we've been together nearly half our lives. We have, quite honestly, grown up together. Think about who you were at 16. It's hard to imagine loving someone at that age and still loving who they are 16 years later. But we've made it work. Like I said, he's my best friend, my other half.
In 2002, Joe and I became foster parents and eventually adopted 2 girls. Kaitlyn was four when she came to us in 2003 and we were able to adopt her on her 6th birthday in 2004. She is now 12.
Stephanie had just turned 13 when she came home to us in 2005. Her adoption was finalized in October 2006. She is now 19 and has a beautiful little boy name Hunter who was born in March.
So, that's a start anyway. More to come very soon.
